The figure of highly skilled individuals granted a Denmark Visa under residence permit as part of the Job Card Scheme / Job Plan is greater than before with almost 50% increase. Approximately 2/3 of the Denmark Visas under work permits were granted in the second half of the year 2008 in the new Job Plan which came into force on 1 July 2008.
The largest part, more or less 75% of the Denmark Visas of residence permits, granted under the Job Plan, was approved under the Pay Limit Scheme. IT specialists are the biggest group amongst the specialized fields and accounts for over half of all the permits granted consistent with the Positive List and the Pay Limit Scheme. Most of the IT Specialists came to Denmark from India.
