Demark - A safe country to reside

Denmark is a very safe country in all aspects. Overseas nationals who arrive in Denmark, either immigrants or travelers, often cite protection and security as the country's most important distinctiveness. Children walk to school unaccompanied and even renowned leaders in the business society do not have to encircle themselves with bodyguards.

The country's parliament, the Folketing, is open to everybody and it is not strange to see a government minister cycling all the way through the city. Even the Queen can shop in Copenhagen or Ã…rhus with a smallest amount of bodyguards.

That this perception of security is not just fiction is mirror in the statistics that show the crime rate in Denmark is amongst the lowest in the world.
